CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — 6 News is learning the house fire in Centre County Thursday night was intentional.
According to Spring Township Police, Matthew Davis of Bellefonte stole a gas tank from a neighbor and jammed it in the back of an SUV at a home along Vanessa Drive Thursday Night.
They say he lit the SUV on fire which then spread to part of the home.
Davis reportedly told police the owner of the home was a family member whom he had a long running feud with.
The homeowner had to be treated for smoke inhalation but will reportedly be ok.
Davis is jailed with no bail facing a number of charges including attempted murder and arson.
