Brit Hume is an American journalist and political commentator. He had worked for various newspaper companies including The Hartford Times, Baltimore Evening Sun and a syndicated columnist. He has published his first book Death and the Mines: Rebellion and Murder in the United Mine Workers in 1971.
In 1973, he joined ABC News as a consultant and worked as the network’s correspondent in 1976. The reporter was born on June 22, 1943 as Alexander Britton Hume in Washington, DC, United States. He was born as the son of George Graham Hume and Virginia Powell Hume. He has a British nationality and is of part Scottish descent on his father’s side. As for his education, he completed his studies at St. Albans School in Washington, DC He then graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1965 from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Before appearing on television in 1973, he has worked for various newspaper companies. From 1970 to 1972, she worked as a syndicated columnist for Jack Anderson. He later became the Washington editor of MORE magazine in 1973. In addition, he has been publishing author books, including his second book, Inside Story.
