Indiana County coroner Jerry Overman has identified the deceased victim of Sunday's early morning mass shooting at the Chevy Chase Community Center in White Township.

Officials say 22-year-old Jamar Montae Porterfield Herriot Jr., of Homestead, Pa, was reportedly attending a party at the community center when he and eight others were shot.

Overman has ruled Herriot's death as a homicide and noted that he was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police say the shooting remains under investigation and no suspects are in custody.

State police have issued new information regarding a mass shooting at the Chevy Chase Community Center early Sunday morning, now confirming at least nine people were shot during the incident.

In a press release, state police said the deceased individual as been identified as a 22-year-old male of Pittsburgh.

State police said an additional eight gunshot victims were also identified, which include a 19-year-old male from Chicago, IL who remains in critical condition, an 18-year-old male from Florida, a 20-year-old male, a 19-year-old male, a 22-year-old male, a 23-year-old female and two 19-year-old females, all of Pennsylvania.

The press release states that the additional eight gunshot victims are currently being treated or were treated and released at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Indiana Regional Medical Center, UPMC Presbyterian Hospital and UPMC Mercy Hospital.

State police said no suspects are in custody and continue to urge anyone with information to immediately contact Troop A, Indiana at 724-357-1960.

State police say a mass shooting early Sunday morning in Indiana County left one dead and five injured.

Troopers and other responders were called to the Chevy Chase Community Center on North 5th Ave around 12:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting.

When troopers arrived on scene, they say they, police and first responders rendered aid to several gunshot victims.

They say at least six people were shot including an individual who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims were taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center and troopers say at least two are believed to be in serious condition.

State police say the shooting reportedly happened at a private party being held at the Chevy Chase Community Center.

They say no suspects have been taken into custody.
