GJCTC to receive $200K grant for new teaching model

JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) Governor Tom Wolf announced Friday that the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center was approved for $200,000 in funding for its innovative workforce teaching model. The governor says the model called "Learn where you will Earn" helps students apply skills learned in a business setting in the classroom.

Students in the program learn advanced manufacturing processes, and it offers a pathway to the required certification for employment and potential job placement for graduates.

Gov. Wolf says that the continued funding will benefit the students, as well as local businesses and the community.
