Lake Carmel Woman Who Sued Cops Over Son's Death Charged With DWI

LAKE CARMEL, N.Y. -- The Lake Carmel woman who sued the Kent Police Department for $200 million over her son's death was charged with driving while intoxicated for the second time in a year on Sunday, July 20, according to LoHud.com.

LAKE CARMEL, N.Y. -- The Lake Carmel woman who sued the Kent Police Department for $200 million over her son's death was charged with driving while intoxicated for the second time in a year on Sunday, July 20, according to LoHud.com. 

Barbara B. Kastle, 54, was charged following an accident on Otter Road. She was charged in July 2013 by Kent police following an accident as well, LoHud.com said. 

Kastle and her husband filed suit against the Kent Police Department alleging their late son's civil rights were violated after he was involved in an accident that that seriously injured Kent Officer Vincent Bade in 2011, LoHud.com reported.
